Berserking again!
20 January 2007
Berserk! 0.8 has been released! Hence it is decided that the roguelike game of tactical bloodshed will be continued despite the controversies. Why Berserk!?

And the Oscar goes to @!
5 January 2007
Here’s a interesting fact — because of the turn-based and deterministic (modulo random number generation) nature of roguelike games, if you record all the keystrokes of a given roguelike game, and the preliminary state of the random number generator you are able to replay the whole game! I thought about that a long time ago, but it was today, that I finally made some action towards it. The results are surprising — I have a complete DoomRL game movie saved in less than 4kb!

Home is behind, the world ahead...
2 January 2007
Another year bites the dust! The typical reaction on a blog on such a special event, would be summarising the year past, and looking forward on the road ahead. I guess I shall adhere to this tradition…

200 km/h In The Wrong Lane
28 November 2006
Finally, after a year, a new version of DoomRL has been released! A lot of things now happen, and life is like 200km/h on the wrong lane. There is a new ChaosForge forum and work on DiabloRL has been restarted (see the forum for the beta test versions — you need to register to see the beta tests subforum). More and more ideas come spinning into my mind, and life suddenly is full of colors. Expect to see a lot of releases, and often, from now on!

Berserk!
23 October 2006
After 7 days of hard work, I finally managed to complete my newest 7DRL. Loosely based on my favourite manga/anime Berserk by Kentaro Miura, Berserk! is a roguelike of tactical bloodshed. You can download it at:
http://berserk.chaosforge.org/
This is also my first program released under GNU GPL, and also the first one to have a official Linux download. I feel proud ;-).
Now I’m going back to development of DoomRL 0.9.9, which is about 70% complete now. ‘Till next time!
